Liverpool goal-scoring winger Mohamed Salah has been name the Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Player of the Year for 2025, one of the oldest and most respect bodies in the world.

The official website said the Egyptian won the award for the third time, after 2018 and 2022, sharing the top spot with former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
The vote from 918 eligible voters เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย showed over 90% of the votes going to the 32-year-old star, the most unanimous vote in a decade.
Next in line are Liverpool team-mate Virgil van Dijk, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice rounding out the top four.
The other 15 players were voted but did not make the top four.
“Finding a player who gets more votes than ‘Mo’ is very stingy,” FWA chairman John Cross said.
“His big win reflects how impressive this season has been.”
“He will continue to make history and his performance this season was key to Liverpool winning their 20th league title.”
“It has been a privilege for us to have witnessed his achievements this season and it will be a privilege to welcome Salah to dinner to celebrate his achievements.”
The winners in the last five years are Salah (2025), Phil Foden (2024), Erling Braut Haaland (2023), Salah (2022) and Ruben Dias (2021).
