Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders has backed his old club to sign Kyle Walker amid reports the player is keen to leave Manchester City.

The England right-back was regard as one of the best players in the world in his position at the peak of his career and enjoyed great success with City, but he has reportedly told the club he wants to leave, with Pep Guardiola confirming the move after the 8-0 thrashing of Salford in the FA Cup.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold’s situation โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที in doubt, Saunders says the Reds should consider a move for Walker.

“Do you want me to give him a try? It looks like Trent is on the move, so why don’t Liverpool sign him (Walker)?” Saunders told UfabetSPORT.

“There he is, he would be a good signing for Liverpool if Trent goes. I know they have a kid (Conor Bradley) coming through but Walker’s got pace and if Trent goes… Kyle Walker would be in the Liverpool team, he’d be in the Spurs team, he’d be in the Man United team, he’d be in the Chelsea team.”

“Would he get into the Arsenal team? Of course he could, he’s better than (Ben) White! – Of course he could go (to Saudi Arabia). I just don’t think he’s ready yet. If he got an offer of £600,000 a week to go to Saudi Arabia I wouldn’t criticise him because for me it makes sense.”

“But if I was a club in Italy or Spain who admired Kyle Walker… the pace of the game in England is the fastest league in the world. Sure, he’s lost a little bit of pace, but he’s good enough to play in most leagues.”

“I think the fact that he (Pep Guardiola) said he wanted to go abroad, he was successful in England. He won everything, to go and play and do something abroad. I understand that, that shows a lot of courage to go abroad and prove yourself.”
